Pick Any Football Formation You Want

Every common football formation is in there. 4-4-2 if you want something balanced, 4-3-3 if you press high, 3-5-2 if you want to overload the midfield, 4-2-3-1 if you like a number ten. The 3-4-3, 5-3-2, 4-1-4-1, 3-4-2-1 and even the old I-Formation are all on the list too.

Is the football lineup builder free?

Yep, free to use. No account, no paywall, no trial that runs out. The image you download doesn't have a watermark on it either.

What football formations can I build?

All the common ones. 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1, 3-4-3, 5-3-2, 4-1-4-1, 3-4-2-1, and a few more including the I-Formation. You can also drag players around to make your own custom shape if none of the presets fit.

Can I build a lineup for 5-a-side, 7-a-side or 9-a-side football?

Yes. The tool covers small-sided football all the way up to full 11-a-side, so it works for grassroots, youth and Sunday League teams as well as full senior matches.

How do I add my own players?

Type their names and shirt numbers straight in, or pick real footballers from our player database if you want the names, numbers and clubs filled in automatically. Drag them anywhere on the pitch to set the lineup how you want it.

Can I save and download my lineup?

Once you're happy with it, hit the download button and you'll get a high-quality image you can post anywhere — social media, your team chat, a matchday graphic, wherever. You can come back later and edit it too.

Does it work on a phone?

It does. The whole tool runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install. Works on phones, tablets and desktops without any difference in features.

Is this good for fantasy football?

A lot of people use it for fantasy. You can drop in your FPL or daily fantasy squad, pick your captain, and post the lineup graphic on social before the gameweek kicks off.

Can I build my own football club?

Yeah, plenty of people do. Make up a club name, design a kit, upload a badge, and put together your dream squad from scratch. Useful for fantasy projects, content, or just messing around.

Can I add things like goals, cards and match ratings?
